Overview

A 80-page book. Noa, 15, is going to Greece with his sister Émilie, 13. Her Greek pen pal, Sofia, has invited them to spend almost a month at her house over Orthodox Easter. She is absolutely determined that they should discover her homeland. Together, they visit the ancient city of Athens, feasting on tzatziki and other traditional Greek dishes before setting sail for the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, the Sporades, Thessaloniki and other wonders of the land of the Helenes.

Author Information

Cécilia was born and raised in Athens. With dual Greek and French nationality, she speaks both languages on a daily basis. After studying literature in Paris, she moved to Greece, where she worked in the cultural sector for ten years, before turning to teaching and writing French language manuals for Greek students. Cécilia spends her winters in Athens and her summers on the island of Naxos. With a French mother and Greek father, Katia has lived in both France and Greece and has always moved back and forth between two countries, languages and cultures. After studying philosophy and cultural management, she specialized in cultural mediation and educational programs, working in in Paris and, for the last fifteen years, in Athens. Katia's greatest joy is helping Greek friends to discover France and French friends to discover Greece. A versatile illustrator, Sébastien Chebret mixes a variety of techniques, including paint, gouache, acrylic and watercolour. He also likes to work with collage, using paper bought in flea markets. His illustrations are marked by the growing presence of digital tools. Sébastien has worked on numerous published albums published, among others, by Ricochet, Père Castor, and Gautier-Languereau.
