I'm disappointed that no one has pointed out some of the biggest problems- it ends two of the largest and most important tax credits for poorer people: The homestead tax credit The credit for state and local taxes paid These two tax credits help keep my taxes low, but they are being sacrificed so that wealthy people like DJT can have much lower taxes. So it is likely that my taxes may even go up while he goes way, way, down, and that is just not fair. Plus there is an unrelated clause buried in the proposed legislation that will allow churches to make political endorsements and still get to keep their non-profit tax status, and that is just wrong, as it violates the principle of separation of church and state.
