Overview

This book of Biblical prayers was born out of my own frustrations when I tried to use the Bible for my personal prayer needs. When I was repentant, I could not find the beautiful passages that expressed repentance. When I needed direction, I could not find passages asking for God's direction. So I began compiling these Scripture passages to help me pray Biblically for whatever spiritual need I was experiencing. These prayers express the spiritual needs and longings of those who earnestly desire to serve God. They are adaptations of passages from the Bible, arranged by topic, and expressed as direct prayers to God. I provide Scripture references so that the reader may look more deeply into these passages if desired. Norman Shuert lives in Springfield, Missouri with his wife, Bettyann. He has a Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Philosophy, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Languages.
