Dr. Stuart R. Watkins, was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He worked for two years in the hotel industry in the winter and spent his summers trail guiding in beautiful Banff National Park in the majestic Canadian Rockies. He graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and began his career of entrepreneurship and for the next 22 years owned and operated a variety of different types of businesses including restaurant, vending and manufacturing. Returning to post-secondary education, he completed a Bachelor of Theology, and then a Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate of Practical Ministry (aka Apostolic Leadership) and finally a Ph.D in Ministerial Studies (Economics). His passion has always been to help people; whether it be teaching biblical economics, Christian business principles, offering excellence training for marketplace businesses or pastoring business people (he retains a pastor license too). Dr. Watkins serves as a financial, operational and strategic planning consultant to churches, charities and non-profit organizations, teaches internationally and bi-annually hosts conferences in Rwanda in addition to his work there with Compassion Canada. Dr. Watkins has been commissioned as a business apostle by Eagle World Wide Ministries in Hamilton, Ontario as well as by the Global Spheres Center in Corinth, Texas. He is a member of both the Canadian and International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders and the CEO of New Start Ministries Ltd. An entrepreneur for 40+ years, he now operates his own publishing company. At home in Alberta, he enjoys music, fine dining, skiing, fitness, swimming, collecting western art and antiques and helping his friend Larry on his ranch.
