Author Information

The author, Nirmal Kumar Pandey, is presently engaged in writing an alternative Indian History, is an historian, contemporary Indian poet, art critic and visual anthropologist whose research interest includes oral traditions, food & dress culture, anthropologically important visual sources; medicine, diseases and epidemics; histories of the formation of the north Indian cities and the psychoanalysis of the evolution and practices of Abusive terminological depictions in vernacular languages in the northern India. Earlier, he earned his Ph.D. (in History) from Banaras Hindu University with the fellowships i.e. ICHR-JRF (2008), UGC-JRF (2008-10), UGC-SRF (2010-2012). Visited British Library, London; Bodleian Library, Oxford and Centre for South Asian Studies, Cambridge at UK to collect source material as Charles Wallace India Trust Study Fellow in 2009. ICHR's Post-Doctoral fellow at University of Delhi, 2013-15. At present he is working as UGC- Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Fellow at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
