Overview

Beyond These Mountains is a compilation of poems and short stories about everyday people, places, and life experiences. I've been impressed by a book of poems by Ruth Graham Bell called Sitting by my Laughing Fire. Beyond These Mountains describes the beauty of God's creation on our property, where wild animals, plants, and a wide range of bird species abound. Our garden, fruit trees, and many varieties of roses have inspired these writings. The short stories reveal the humorous experiences and sentimental memories of faith, family, and friends, and how each of these have enriched my life.

Publishing a book has been a lifelong dream of mine. I have always loved to write and poetry seemed to come naturally.I live with my husband Art in Nakusp, B.C., situated in the beautiful Kootenays amid majestic mountains and shining lakes. We help to pastor the Gospel Light Chapel in New Denver, B.C.I have endeavored to honour my saviour Jesus Christ, who has guided me in the writing of this book.
