Edgar Cayce was born in 1877 and lived until 1945. For more than forty years of his life, he gave what are called psychic readings. As a young man, he discovered that he had an unusual ability to put himself into an altered state of consciousness. He seemed to have access to virtually all knowledge. He was called ""the sleeping prophet"" and is the most documented psychic of our time.
