Overview

This book is a collection of my poetry over the years. I started writing poetry for myself, but I was invited to do poetry readings at a local venue. Over the years, I've written quite a few poems, and I wanted to collect them. These poems are a testament to my journey as a poet, and I wanted to share them with others so they could hopefully share the joy I take from poetry. Between The Brambles And The Blackberries is split into three parts, Gardens, Nature, and Stories. In writing these poems, my goal was to capture the fantastical nature of the world around us. The mundane world can sometimes be frustrating or depressing, so many of my poems focus on escapism, from secret gardens and many varieties of roses to the story of an old woman with an orange tree in her walls. These are the places my mind goes when I want to explore something beyond normal life. So if you want to take a look, why don't you come with me for a walk between the brambles and the blackberries.
