Overview

Ender: When I first met Gabe--a month after our best friends started dating each other--I expected awkward small talk and polite smiles. What I don't expect is the way he looks at me ... like I'm important. Like he sees something worth knowing behind the walls I've built over the years. No one's ever looked at me like that before. Not my parents, who left me with scars deeper than silence. Not one person--except maybe my best friends, who taught me how to survive when love felt like a myth. But Gabe's presence stirs something unfamiliar within me. A warmth. A hope. A terrifying, beautiful ache. I don't know what these feelings mean, or if I'm ready to face them. All I know is ... I want him to stay long enough for me to find out. Gabe: Life is finally falling into place--my best friend and I just opened our dream restaurant, and everything feels right. Then he meets someone special. Luckily, this someone special comes with a best friend who stops me in my tracks. Ender is quiet, guarded, and heartbreakingly beautiful. One night is all it takes for me to know I want more. Then, just as quickly as he lets me in, he shuts me out. With every red flag I find, I know I should run. Anyone would, but I can't. Because underneath all that pain and self-loathing is someone worthy. I need him, and I think he needs me. Contains mature themes.

Author Information

Haleigh Falcon grew up in the Northeast spending almost twenty years living in Maryland before putting down roots farther South. While she calls Maryland home, she now lives with her wife and adorable fur/feather babies in North Carolina. Haleigh writes romance novels, the majority of which are queer romance, exploring the beautiful, messy, and intricate ways love shows up in our lives. While her favorite tropes to write are found family, bi-awakenings, and hurt/comfort, she loves creating characters who are just trying to figure things out like the rest of us. At her core, she wants her stories to feel real, to make listeners feel seen, and maybe a little less alone. Liam Dicosimo is an in-demand narrator with a background in film and stage acting. Ryan Lee Dunlap is a New York City-based SAG-AFTRA voice actor and audiobook narrator specializing in romance. Originally hailing from North Carolina, he began studying acting after calling it quits with the music industry and began voice acting and narrating in 2021. He's been a gigantic fan of audiobooks since he had them on cassette as a kid, and to this day, he prefers to read with his ears. Kim Ramirez is a second-generation Irish-Mexican originally from Texas. Her storytelling career has flourished in front of the camera, behind the mic, and on the stage. She grew up around bilingual working-class families where people met the challenges of life with laughter, wise cracks, and sometimes head cracks. But through a series of opportunities, she had the privilege of experiencing life among the upper echelons of society as well. This unique background allows Kim to seamlessly adapt to a wide spectrum of roles, from portraying dry comedic characters with a gritty edge to a powerful queen commanding a room. Her voice is characterized by authenticity, richness, and a deep well of knowledge as well as a sharp dryness. She takes particular pride in having narrated books across a few genres that have Queer and BIPOC characters as the leads, two communities dear to her heart. When not in her booth or in front of the camera, she's busy momin' it up: cooking, crafting, or raising hell.
