He has written about theater and culture for a variety of publications, including major newspapers, reference books, and scholarly journals. Mr. Jenkins is a member of the drama faculty at New York University where he teaches theater studies with an emphasis on the history of the United States drama and theater. A former chairman of the American Theatre Critics Association, he now chairs the American Theatre Wing's Henry Hewes Design Awards, serves on the executive committee of the Theater Hall of Fame, and is a member of the board of the American Theatre and Drama Society.
