Overview

Benzalanilin oder richtiger Benzylidenanilin ist eine organische chemische Verbindung und z hlt zu den Azomethinen. Aufgrund der polaren N=CH-Doppelbindung ist dieses Molek l ein guter Angriffspunkt f r nukleophile Reaktionspartner. Benzylidenanilin ist in reiner Form (Reaktion von frisch destilliertem Anilin mit Benzaldehyd) ein gelbes Pulver mit einem marzipanartigem Geruch. Wird bei der Darstellung allerdings braunes Anilin verwendet, so ver ndert sich die Farbe des Benzalanilins eher ins gelbgr ne bzw. gelbgraue. Die Substanz ist wasserunl slich, l st sich aber sehr gut in organischen L sungsmitteln wie Ethanol, Diethylether, Dichlormethan (DCM) und Chloroform.
