T A Tomeo was born in Brooklyn NY, although she lived most of her life in the small neighborhood of Hamilton Beach, Queens, NY. Benny Blue Eyes was inspired by the growing number of children with sensory deficits that effect their ability to communicate and cope with activities of daily living. Her drive to help children and their parents sparked the creation of Benny Blue Eyes, The Sense-able Snowman. Her hope is that this story will help little ones discover much about themselves and their amazing senses. Most of all her wish is to make everyone smile!
