Lorraine, her husband and two teenage daughters immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand in 1994. Leaving their only son and his family behind. Shortly after arrival, she became a 'Bible in Schools' teacher. It extended her previous involvement in children's Christian ministry. Her involvement included other educational activities for 25 years before she retired. Her love for children and her love for the Lord inspired her to write 'Beloved Children.' She felt compelled to combine her compassion for children and her faith in writing these devotionals. She and her husband live in Otago as retirees with their adorable Maltese.
