Overview

This short book is an anecdotal tale of the author's 21-year career with the Automobile Association starting as a naive, young mechanic in his early twenties, in 1985, through to when he finished, in 2006 due to redundancy, as an area manager, with responsibility for up to 45 patrols in the South Wales area. The book details some of the jobs that the author, or colleagues, attended and the outcomes, whether good or bad, that the patrols achieved. Most of the jobs attended were fairly straightforward and the desired outcome was achieved, but, sometimes things would go wrong and when they did go wrong it could be quite spectacular.
