Overview

The 5th Supplementary Series of the Beilstein Handbook (4th Edition) covers the organic compounds reported in the literature from 1960 up to 1980. Volumes 20 to 22 cover heterocyclic compounds which contain a nitrogen atom as the only ring-heteroatom. Volume 22, which is divided into several subvolumes, deals with nitrogen heterocycles bearing a large variety of functional groups. Subvolume 22/12 covers the amino-derivatives of the monohydroxy-compounds (from CnH2n-9NO), polyhydroxy-compounds, and monooxo-compounds (CnH2n-1NO to CnH2n-9NO) belonging to this class. The ring nitrogen atom and the functional group may be coupled with inorganic compounds or any organic compounds described in volumes 1 - 22 in any of the Beilstein Series up to E V 22/12. This handbook on organic chemistry is intended for industrial and academic researchers in chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry, physics and scientific libraries.
