Overview

The 5th supplementary series of this handbook covers the organic compounds reported in the primary literature from 1960 up to 1980. Volumes 20 to 22 cover heterocyclic compounds which contain a nitrogen atom as the only ring heteroatom. Volume 22, which is divided into several sub-volumes, deals with nitrogen heterocycles bearing a large variety of functional groups. Sub-volume 22, part 2 covers monocarboxylic acids with general formulas falling within the range Cn H2n-7 NO2 to Cn H2n-9 NO2. This volume specifically covers the pyridine monocarboxylic acids, such as nicotinic and isocotinic acids, and their derivatives.
