Overview
The book is an optional module within the scope of a European Master course of study about European perspectives on social inclusion. From a German, English, Portuguese, Swedish and Hungarian point of view it focuses on reasons for the exclusion of disabled persons and ethical and legal struggle for a new ascertainment for inclusion. Social political and pedagogic concepts and interventions as well as visions and action strategies for a European social inclusion of disabled persons with full civil rights and unrestricted participation are further topics of the book. He is the co-ordinator of some European Socrates funded programmes. David Johnstone is a Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University College, Ormskirk (England), where he is course leader to the degree programme in Disability and Community Studies. David Rodrigues is Professor for Special Education at the Technical University of Lisbon, where he is co-ordinator of some Master study programmes. Fritz-Helmut Wisch is Professor for Remedial and Special Education at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg (Germany), where he co-ordinates the degree programme Remedial pedagogy and Rehabilitation.
