Author Information

Robert K. McIver (Rob) began his professional career as a teacher of mathematics in a government high school in Christchurch, New Zealand. Since then he has been a student (twice), a church pastor, and from 1988 he has spent most of his time researching, writing and lecturing New Testament and Greek at Avondale College of Higher Education, NSW, Australia. Among his other roles he is editor of Avondale Academic Press, chair of the Avondale Academic Board, director of the Spirituality and Worship Research Centre, a husband, and a father of two beautiful daughters. He has wide research interests, and has published in scholarly journals as diverse as New Testament Studies and Applied Cognitive Psychology. His book publications include: Memory, Jesus and the Synoptic Gospels; Mainstream or Marginal: The Matthean Community in Early Christianity; and The Four Faces of Jesus.
