Reviews

I have been a music teacher for over thirty years. This book has outdone all of my own efforts to reach children. Mr. Klaus has a way of reaching out to kids and teaching them while making the whole thing fun. My grandson can not put this book DOWN! The book as better than any guitar method book I have ever used for children. Forget Mel Bay - Learn The Klaus Way! I would recommend this book to anyone who knows a child who wants to have a ball - AND learn how to play the guitar. The book is broken down in a real, practical and straight forward way. Seriously, I know a lot of adult students who would have benefited from this book when they started. Kudos Mr. Klaus, you knocked this one out of the park! -- D.L. Almond I gave this book to my cousin about a week ago (age 8). At 250+ pages, I was worried it may be intimidating for him, but he's moving through it super quickly so far and seems to be enjoying it. He couldn't wait to show me what he learned! I'd recommend this book to any parents/families of young kids who are looking to get started with the guitar but can't afford lessons.-- Mary Rose Having spent a few years working in a guitar store, I can tell you that this is one of the best books written for children. I've seen/sold many guitars books that are either really boring to kids or don't provide an adequate amount of information for children looking to start playing. This is neither of those books. Not only does it show children how to play individual notes, but it also progresses to chords and strumming patterns which are lacking in other beginner's books. The fact that it's also a coloring book is an added bonus! For parents, who are unfamiliar with the instrument, there is a useful section on how to select the right sized guitar for your child which is crucial for any beginner. If you want a fun book to correctly teach your kids the basics of the guitar without being boring or arduous then look no further. -- Nicholas A. Krueger
