Before YOU ""Litigate YOUR Rights"" During Police Encounter

Overview

Why do majority of drivers promptly slow down on city or major highways when a police car is sported riding slightly ahead in traffic? Because drivers knew that the person behind the wheel is duly commissioned to enforce traffic laws. The officer might be off-duty at the time, however; he can still pull you over and for that, many are not tempted to speed ahead of his vehicle. The moment the officer exited; everyone picks up speed as if collectively saying, ""There goes the man"" And do you ever wonder why it happens that way? It is because the presence of the police car represents authority. Sometimes though, there might be a driver tempted to dry faster than the officer who is purposefully driving as a pace car for everyone else. Then suddenly, off goes the blue lights and sirens. We all have egos deep as the depth of Niagara Falls. Regardless of each individual's professional occupation, there is a hidden ego in all of us. Just that many have self-control, while some others do not. Some officers might ignore such a move, while for others; it just might be time to take out the summons. By law, anything over speed limit, at the discretion of the officer, you can be ticketed. And when the siren or blue lights go off, your safe bet is to simply comply. Arguing the legality of any stop on the roadside would be lacking common sense. It's what Gen Z has coined as FAFO[1] on the web. Hello AI, what does the acronym FAFO mean? FAFO is an internet slang acronym for ""F\*\*\* Around And Find Out,"" meaning if someone behaves carelessly or provocatively, they will face the negative consequences. While someone may decide to fight a police officer by the roadside, the officer is only a tiny part of the system such a person will have to contend with when it is all said and done. Remember as angry as you may get with officer(s) authorized to enforce laws of all types including traffic laws, he or she also has a service weapon, handcuff, taser, vehicle to transport you, and a facility to lock you up pending the outcome before another part of the system - The judge. Would you fight him or her too? You have more than fifty percent chance of winning in the courts, and one hundred percent chance that you will lose on your roadside's righteous litigation.
