Before We Forget

Overview

When the world speaks with one voice, silence is the only refuge. It began in a coffee shop on a rainy Tuesday. For three seconds, every person in the room froze. They stared at nothing. Then, in perfect synchronization, they spoke a single sentence that meant nothing and everything: ""The blue tide rises at four."" Jaren, a sound collector who records the chaotic noise of the city, was the only one who didn't speak. He was the only one who noticed. As the days pass, the moments of synchronization grow longer. The ""Unity"" is spreading-a terrifying global signal that overrides individual thought with a hive mind dedicated to absolute peace and terrifying efficiency. It whitewashes the streets, erases memories of grief, and silences the messy, beautiful noise of humanity. In the hills above the city, Sola, an astronomer, watches the world turn grey. She knows the signal is coming from the Spire, a massive transmission tower that has begun to pulse with a strange blue light. She also knows that at sunrise tomorrow, the connection will become permanent. Thrown together by chance and chased by the ""Hunters""-soulless enforcers of the new order-Jaren and Sola must cross a city that is slowly forgetting itself. Armed only with a tape recorder full of memories and a refusal to be quiet, they must climb the Spire to break the broadcast. But the Unity offers a seductive promise: a world without pain, without loneliness, and without fear. To save the world, Jaren must decide if the chaos of freedom is worth the cost of a broken heart. Before We Forget is a cinematic, emotional, and gripping dystopian thriller about the power of memory, the beauty of imperfection, and the fight to stay awake in a sleeping world.
