Overview

The subjects of the monographs in this series are selected works of Beethoven relating to their creation origins and reception history. They incorporate contextual accounts of Beethoven and his contemporaries and estimations of his music as expressed by musicians and musicologist in the nineteenth century and those closer to our own time.
