Overview

Susan's seventh applique book features seasonal floral and bird designs that are adapted from her Libby's Garden quilt. The book contains full size patterns and instructions for six delightful small applique quilts, one for each month from December through May. Each of the quilts finishes to 20 wide, so they can be displayed separately or hung in one space and changed each month or season. Winter and spring patterns include a cardinal and holly, violets and bluebirds, snow drops and forsythia, tulip, robin and dogwood, and a chickadee and apple blossoms. There is a Beautiful Seasons: Summer and Fall pattern book available separately with patterns for the summer and fall months. This is a pattern book appropriate for quilters who have some experience with applique and paper foundation piecing and the patterns are appropriate for any style of applique.
