Overview

This book is the first in a series written especially for Seventh-day Adventists, with their unique background, language, and use of the spirit of prophecy. (There is a website with the same name, EternityExplained.com, that is written for a general audience.) The goal in this series is to establish a worldview, an explanation of eternity, based only on the Bible, and to know why the Bible can be trusted.Many members are leaving God and the church because of the problems they see in Adventism. I believe that most Adventists have never seen Biblical Adventism. They have seen Adventist-ism: the fear driven, guilt ridden, inconsistent, and incomplete subculture that has built up over generations of Adventists raising their children to be religious in their own image. This belief has been confirmed by the overwhelmingly positive feedback I have received from presentations in campmeetings and churches. From young adults to older members in the church for decades, they tell me they see God and prophecy and Bible truth like never before. Extensive use of the patterns naturally built into Scripture gives them confidence and understanding they did not know existed.Progressive patterns is the key that unlocks the simplicity and spirituality of personal salvation, the prophecies, God's plan of redemption, and the history between good and evil. Adventists need not have fear and insecurity that somehow they have been tricked by Ellen White and church leadership. The Bible unfolds itself in patterns that are too big, too specific, and too consistent to be man-made. You have not believed cunningly devised fables.
