OverviewWelcome to the Beautiful Brightness of Being A Handbook for Professionals Families and Caregivers I am the author, Rev. Michele Betts Schultz, a psychiatric professional of 40 years, an ordained minister, a former nurse, and a cancer survivor. I have a grown son who is a father of 3, and wonderful husband and a bonus daughter and son. My mentors have helped me grow and find my own calmness, maturity (well a little maturity). I was encouraged to keep my irreverent humor and my addiction to research searches. I am a military brat. I am particularly dedicated to military families, pregnant women or new moms, trauma survivors especially those with complex trauma, and I love treating adolescents. My clients usually have suicide urges or homicide urges, often with psychosis and co-existent medical disease. I have always rooted for the underdog. Then i was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer in 20 My treatment only recently finally stopped for cancer killing chemo and radiation. Too bad the treatments are poison. I want folks to learn, become more enlightened, know protective and preventative practices, know gun law, now parenting types, and courage. This author worked in psychiatry 40 years, nursing about 10 years, although those years often seemed longer. I use my ordained ministry for sacred activism. The biggest new route in this book is the true addition to not just Mind and Body but also Spirituality. I write about both Suicide and Homicide as they are interconnected in neurophysiology, spirituality, and public shame. In fact, if a psychotherapist treats complex PTSD to the point of elimination of frightening triggering, memories, nightmares and ""numbing"" or dissociation but fails to evaluate their patient for moral injury which is part of shame, it is possible the patient will be staffed as ready for discharge from out-patient care only to complete their suicide after returning home. Death by Moral Injury. Death by shame can include the victim's decision to take out others with him, and the moral injury may be very complex, severe, and inescapable that even more people are blamed and"" in need"" of revenge. Common examples are pedophiles who were victimized themselves as a child and now repeat the illegal, immoral behavior with children who are unsuspecting. So, children come forward and talk to teachers or parents or both. Then the media is informed of law enforcement's investigation, by how many youth, and suspected duration crimes may have been occurring.
