Overview

Mo's older brother has to go away for work, but just like the swallows, he'll return to him when the summer comes. Bibi and Mo love to watch the first swallows arriving home to their lake in the summer. But soon, just like the swallows, Bibi has to go north for work. He tells Mo to think of him flying with the birds, and just like the swallows, when summer comes again, he will journey across the cities, oceans, grasslands and jungle, and over the tops of the mountains back to Mo. Featuring a non-fiction section all about the migration of swallows, this comforting and sensitively told story is perfect for children whose loves ones have to stay away from home sometimes.

Anna Wilson (Author) Anna Wilson has been a published author for twenty years, writing over 50 books for children, including picture books, novels, early readers and the novelisation for Paddington 2: the Story of the Movie. Once an editor, she now loves to write, and runs creative writing schools across the UK. Anna lives near Penzance in Cornwall. Jenny Bloomfield (Illustrator) Jenny Bloomfield graduated with distinction with an MA in Children's Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art in 2019. She is an avid sketchbooker and draws every day, but when she is not making art she can be found swimming or plotting outdoor adventures. She lives in Leeds with her husband, two children and an angry, fat cat called Pop-Pops.
