Author Information

Charles E. Cabler retired from a forty-three-year career in financial services which included thirty years' experience managing human resources. His management background is diverse and comprised of compliance and risk management at AmSouth, First Union, Wachovia and Wells Fargo banks; real estate mortgage loan and consumer finance offices; and retail sales- services stores.Charles's is a graduate of the Alabama Bankers School at the University of South Alabama. His manager philosophy and leadership educational background includes the American Institute of Banking, the Center for Leadership Studies, and the Browing Group International. While employed, Charles received the Institute of Certified Banker's Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation and the Bankers Administrative Institute's Certified Risk Professional (CRP) designation. He served as an American Bankers Association (ABA) compliance school faculty member at the University of Oklahoma, Indiana University / Purdue University-Indianapolis, and a subject matter expert instructor for the Dallas, Texas, Federal Reserve Bank. Charles was a seminar guest lecturer for the ABA, and several state banking associations for over twenty years. Since 2016, Charles has volunteered to teach for the Launch(R) Career Development Program (Florence, AL, City School System), and the Southwire 12 For Life(R) manufacturing partnership helping students acquire a basic understanding of the business environment. Charles has written and published several career development books. Dr. Corey J. Behel holds a BS from Athens State University (Athens, AL), a M Ed from the University of North Alabama, (Florence, AL) and a PhD in Instructional Leadership from Samford University (Homewood, AL). Dr. Behel has thirty years' experience as a teacher in primary and secondary education, school administration, counseling, and supervising career development programs. He serves as the Director of Partnerships and Workforce Innovation for the Florence, Alabama, City School system supervising two national award-winning high school workforce development programs: the Launch(R) Career Development Program, and the Southwire 12 For Life(R) manufacturing partnership. For these programs, Dr. Behel teaches a professional skills class to instill knowledge in young adults to become an independently productive employee. Dr. Behel focuses on potential rather than limitations and is passionate about helping others become the best version of themselves. Dr. Behel has received the Teacher of The Year Award at three local schools and was the Florence City School District (AL) Teacher of the Year. He was also nominated for Alabama Teacher of the Year. Dr. Behel has authored a professional skills and career development handbook used in teaching his class.
