OverviewA Must Have for musicians BASSO CONTINUO FOR BACH´S CELLO SUITES Created for cello, viola, bassoon, bass clarinet, trombone, marimba, etc USE IT FOR: Concerts, teaching, harmonic training, practicing accompaniment I was just a kid when my cello teacher started accompanying me by ear with different pieces of music, and I learned to do the same with my violinist sister. In that way, the music made complete sense to me, and I felt a special joy in playing and sharing the language of music with others. This was possibly what helped me survive learning such a hard instrument. Meanwhile, it was time to learn Bach. I soon understood that the different voices in the Bach Suites were woven into a single line, and that fascinated me. I wanted to understand that process more and more. For three decades I listened to dozens of master classes highlighting the importance of harmony, and I fantasized about sharing that playful character with someone accompanying me in these dances. After all, since the baroque period is the era of the basso continuo, why not write it down explicitly? This creation is meant to be used for pleasure, and to enjoy. For all the instrumentalists who study this repertoire: teachers, students and performers in concerts. This is to help understand and enhance the determining role of harmony and rhythm, and to be able to transmit through music the desire to share and dance.
