OverviewThis book summarizes the do’s and don’ts of managing a patient receiving radiotherapy or chemotherapy as well as how to manage common day to day situations that one comes across in radiation oncology practice. He has expertise in management of solid tumors with radiotherapy, chemotherapy as well as modern radiotherapy techniques including IGRT, IMRT and stereotactic radiotherapy. He has many years of experience in the use of telecobalt machine, simulator, CT scan and MRI based planning, linear accelerators and brachytherapy. His areas of interest are GI and hepatobiliary cancers, head & neck cancers, use of conformal RT, pediatric oncology, skin cancers and mould brachytherapy. He has published several papers in journals, book chapters, presented papers and posters in national conferences, given talks in CMEs and academic meets. He has been the organising secretary for CMEs, multi-institute level scientific workshops, as well as regional Chapter conferences. He has been the Secretary of JIPMER Scientific Society and member of executive committee of Indian Brachytherapy Society. Dr. Mukherji has been awarded fellowship on many occasions in national meets. He has been appointed as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Advanced Medical Health Research, the official journal of JIPMER and Assistant Editor of the Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics (JCRT).
