He is currently an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah, where he researches condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, and solid-state physics. Dr. Arias has published numerous articles in top-tier scientific journals, and grants from the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy have supported his research. Dr. Arias began his career as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he conducted groundbreaking research on novel materials' electronic and optical properties. He then joined the faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he served as an assistant professor of physics and applied mathematics before joining the faculty at the University of Utah in 2011.
