OverviewAcclaimed biologist and ornithologist Thor Hanson's first children's book is the story of Bartholomew Quill, a crow who's trying to figure out what he is. Rather than just a creation myth, it's a legend about biodiversity, identifying characteristics, and the clever and loveable crow. Rhythmic rhymes and a wide variety of Pacific Northwest wildlife make this a fun read-aloud for the whole family. Seattle artist Dana Arnim's watercolor and ink illustrations bring a sense of magic to the natural world.
