Das Bargunsegner ist der r toromanische Dialekt, der in Berg n im Kanton Graub nden und Teilen des Albulatals gesprochen wird. Er geh rt zur surmeirischen Sprache, bewahrte aber nicht zuletzt aufgrund der Tatsache, dass Berg n sich im Gegensatz zu weiten Teilen Mittelb ndens der Reformation anschloss und sich konfessionell zum Engadin hin orientierte, einige Eigenheiten. Das Bargunsegner ist in seiner Existenz stark bedroht, wird es doch von nur mehr etwa 10% der Bev lkerung in seinem Ursprungsgebiet gesprochen. Die Primarschule in Berg n ist einsprachig deutsch. R toromanisch wird als Fremdsprachenfach unterrichtet, hier allerdings im Idiom Puter des Oberengadins, welches in Berg n traditionell als Schriftstandard gebraucht wurde.
