Concetta La Placa was born on July 30,1960, in Caltanissetta, Sicily, into a family deeply rooted in tradition, creativity, and social engagement. Raised by her parents, Alfonso La Placa and Giovanna Farruggia, she grew up in an environment where sensitivity to human relationships, culture, and ethical values was strongly encouraged. From an early age, she developed a wide range of interests, including literature, psychology, photography, and the arts fields that would later converge into a unified intellectual and poetic vision. Her formal education began at the Alessandro Volta Scientific Lyceum in Caltanissetta, where she obtained her Scientific Baccalaureate Diploma in 1979. Years later, driven by a commitment to social responsibility and public welfare, she completed her academic training at the University of Trieste, earning a Bachelor's degree in Administration and Management of Social Policies in 2020. Alongside her studies, she qualified as a registered social worker and became a member of the National Professional Order of Italian Social Workers, strengthening her professional foundation through specialized courses accredited by the Italian legal and university system.
