Earlier volumes of Baptist Sacramentalism have left readers with high expectations. They have done two things very well. Firstly, they linked people dissatisfied with sacramental reductionism to a long sacramental tradition among Baptists. Secondly, they brought this retrieval into conversation with fresh ecumenical thinking on the subject. Volume 3 carries on both of these impulses.
