Overview

This handbook shows how to master the social foxtrot, waltz, quickstep, modern tango, slow foxtrot and the Viennese waltz. It contains over 360 step-by-step photographs and diagrams in colour clearly, which illustrate all the dances and movements so you can learn at home and see exactly what you are aiming to achieve. This is an easy-to-follow handbook suitable for dancers of all ages and any level of experience. The great classic ballroom dances included in this book - the social foxtrot, waltz, quickstep, modern tango, slow foxtrot and the Viennese waltz - are clearly explained in simple, everyday language, including their histories and the stories behind them; their individual traditions; and, of course, easy-to-follow lessons on how to dance them. The basic routines are built up in step-by-step movements that are beautifully illustrated with over 360 colour photographs and diagrams, which form a wonderfully simple and clear teaching system you can study at home.
