With a background in hand-drawn animation, Aron Nels Steinke began self-publishing comics in 2006 with the help of a grant from the Xeric Foundation. Aron's all-ages graphic novel, Neptune, was published in 2009 by Sparkplug Comic Books and Tugboat Press. Currently, he spends his days as an elementary school teacher and his nights writing and drawing his next book. He lives in Portland, OR with his wife and three cats.
