Ballet Busters Leap into the First Nutcracker

Overview

Hang onto your hats as you whirl through the magical Super Time Tunnel with the Ballet Busters and their beloved dance teacher, Miss Sophia. Meet Marti, Julie, Zack, and Luis as they travel back 100 years to St. Petersburg, Russia, just in time for the very first Nutcracker performance. What an amazing journey these young dancers experience - learning about the history of the ballet, battling bullies, and creating chaos onstage and off. Will Marti regain her BFF's trust? Will she ever have a role bigger than a Little Mouse?

Author Information

Ballet has been Debra Evans DeVoe's passion for as long as she can remember. She began studying ballet at 7 years old and has danced every since. As a child, she was a big fan of ballerina biographies, dance histories, and ballet stories, reading ballet books in bed until all hours of the night. DeVoe has a MAEd from George Washington University. When not busy with her second graders at a private school in Howard County, Maryland, she finds time to teach ballet and write about dance for various publications in the Baltimore-Washington area. www.dancingdoorways.com
