Joseph Hull is a graduate of Howard University and a former graduate student at Washington University. He studied to become a concert pianist but had to change plans when he became afflicted with focal dystonia and was no longer able to play. He turned to other means of creative expression including composing and painting. Collectors of his paintings reside in Missouri, California, Georgia and Florida. Many have become familiar with his compositions through the websites Musicaneo, Sheetmusicplus, and his own personal website, Sheetmusicfirst.com. He no longer contributes to these sites seeking broader ways to distribute and promote his work.
