OverviewJ.T. Lane has spent five hard years buried deep in the Sierra Madre mountains, working for a skinflint boss and keeping one step ahead of the law. He didn't run because he was guilty. He ran because he had no choice. A shooting back in New Mexico-done to defend his sister-left his name on a wanted poster that's never come down. Now he's riding home. But home isn't what he remembers. His sister is living in Dragoon, under the watchful eye of a powerful rancher named Billy Four-a man who sees something in J.T. others don't... an honest hand worth trusting. J.T. wants a quiet life. A fair shake. Maybe even a chance to put the past behind him. But the past isn't done with him. With the law still hunting, enemies circling, and trouble waiting at every turn, J.T. Lane will have to fight for every mile... and every breath... Because a man with a price on his head doesn't get peace easy. And sometimes... the only way to earn a quiet life- is to survive everything sent to take it away.
