Susanna Stossel is Director of Curriculum at the Beauvoir School in Washington, DC where she has loved helping teachers, students, and parents develop into a vibrant community of mathematicians. She is a graduate of Tufts University where she earned both a BA in Child Development and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Cathy Fosnot is Professor Emerita of Childhood Education and the Founding Director of Mathematics in the City, a nationally-recognized center for professional development at the City College of New York. She has authored numerous books and articles on mathematics education, most recently the Contexts for Learning Mathematics series, the Young Mathematicians at Work series, and A Parent's Guide to Math Education in Today's Schools. Currently she serves as the senior content consultant for the award-winning internet math environment, www.Dreambox.com, and she is the CEO of www.NewPerspectivesOnLearning.com.
