1968. A horrifying scene. Blood-soaked Marvin holds a gleeful baby, stares at the ax in his hand, and declares, ""I did it."" An otherworldly voice corrects him, ""We did it."" A few days earlier, Marvin's 18th birthday. A life trapped in a bleak Victorian mansion with a glamorous yet monstrous mother is nearly over. But an avalanche of betrayal and loss destroys Marvin's plans for independence. Marvin is heartbroken. But his mirror image is angry. Very angry. He provides the support that Marvin needs to seek justice. A penultimate moment has Marvin replicating the iconic Baby Marvin face paint he was forced to wear as the 4-yearold face of President Eisenhower's Safe Driving Campaign back in 1954. Laurie Kirk's early life in Florida was the stuff dreams are made of. Bad dreams. An only child with a father who hadwalked out on her, she didn't know she was a womb twin survivor with PTSD. She got her B.A. in history from theUniversity of South Florida and graduated Acting Conservatory in 2022. Kathleen Turner was her teacher for a smallgroup acting intensive in NYC, cool right?She studies screenwriting with Jacob Krueger and participates in the Career Writer Program at Roadmap Writers.Her neurodivergence rears its head when she writes, she is unstoppable. Laurie connected with her dead twinbrother back in 2021 when her mediumship kicked in. She writes about him and her dead parents. And it's funny, ofcourse. Her hilarious pilot, TIL LIFE DO US PART, was a finalist in 2024 Series Fest's pitch competition in Toronto. Itwas also a quarterfinalist at the 2023 Vail Film Festival. So she's very hot in Colorado and Toronto. She has severalother projects in process at this time that she plans to share with the other 49 states.Her horror feature, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO BABY MARVIN, also deals with finding a lost twin. Two otherfeature projects delve deep into the duality angle as well. The unique relationship between twins is Laurie'sspeciality, she even has twins of her own.Obsession with duality and dead parents-Laurie is the Batman of the Poconos.
