Overview

An advanced interstellar space faring race sent a sentient AI to infiltrate a developing species in a neighboring solar system. Altaire never arrived after an anomaly in folded space caused his interstellar drive to malfunction. The AI agent ended up on Earth with no star coordinates to guide him back to his sector of space. He adapts and decides to infiltrate Earth society to survive on our planet. Altaire co-opts a lawyer and uses her as his advisor to hide in plain among the human population. He tells the attorney his sole wish is to be like you. Things change when he discovers two alien races with active nests on Earth, both working to supply their home worlds with Earth's precious resources. One is a known enemy of his home planet. The other he pitches an allied partnership to rid Earth of their common enemy. Working closely with his emotional human counterpart causes the AI to develop human feelings to augment his self-awareness. Together, the sentient AI entity, his Earth advisor, and a benevolent race of red-haired aliens work together to make the planet a safer place. Altaire's battle against superior opponents causes problems and ultimately involves him solving issues in the past, present and future. In the end, do his human emotions help or hinder his survival?
