I've always heard good things about Ayurveda but never really got a chance to study deep into it until I found this book. I am inspired by how foods can serve as medicine to treat different health concerns so that we don't have to visit the doctors! For example, from time to time, I have constipation and I suffer from eczema these years. I am glad to see some natural remedies that can help treat my concerns. Besides, the recipes recommended in this book are all new and refreshing ideas to me. I love the recipes like Almond Meal and Pitta Breakfast . Last but not least, James brings up the topic that Ayurveda is not just about food. Rather, it is also about living a holistic lifestyle as well. For example, besides paying attention to what we eat, we should also pay attention to the quality of our sleep, having a proper amount of exercise, and how to take care of our emotions to relieve stress. Overall, I think James really has done a great job by introducing the concept of Ayurveda to a newbie like me. This book is highly recommended;) - by Tracy
