Overview

""Well behaved women seldom make history."" Laurel Thatcher Ulrich Throughout history the contributions of women have often been overlooked. This wonderful collection of wordsearch puzzles seeks to correct that with 120 informative and brilliant puzzles all based on the achievements of women. Included are puzzles dedicated to notable individuals such as Margaret Atwood, Greta Thunberg, and Oprah Winfrey as well as lesser known names equally deserving of recognition like the Indian artist Amrita Sher-Gil and environmental activist Wangari Maathai. Other puzzles celebrate groups of women in a variety of fields from athletic achievers and aviation pioneers, to Oscar winners and mathematicians, you'll be sure to learn something new. Each of the puzzles is accompanied either by an inspirational quote, or a short biography of its titular subject, with select puzzles presented with more in-depth biographies. In light of recent political and protest movements such as Me Too and the women's march, there is no better time to celebrate the many and varied achievements of women. Want to know who the first woman to pilot a hot air balloon was? Who were the night witches? And who is considered ""the mother of civil rights""? Learn all of these things and much more, as you complete the inspiring puzzles within.
