Reviews

Every educator and parent should have a copy of this book! Lucy expertly leads us through 20 wonderful STEAM activities for the classroom and at home. Each activity comes with a STEAM connection to explore further. These art activities make clear that there would be no STEM without the ART component, thereby highlighting the importance of art and creativity in our curriculum as well as in our daily lives. As an elementary school teacher, I can't wait to try these activities in my classroom, and as a mother of two, I know that my boys will love these art activities! --Elsa Wu, MEd, elementary school teacher & mother of two As an early childhood educator and mother of a 3- and 5-year-old, I always look for art projects with self-guided learning opportunities. This book has plenty of pictures to help young artists do just that. Teaching primary colors has never been so fun using the book's Mix Up Colors spinner activity! How the book only asks for simple everyday art supplies to create STEAM projects is genius. This book has it all! --Myung Lee, ECE, kindergarten teacher, and mom of two An innovative and refreshing approach to art-making. Engaging art projects are elevated with STEAM elements to lift developing minds to new heights! A must-buy for the young artist in your life! --Ingrid Pinto, BFA, MRE, high school art teacher Engaging and innovative. The activities are great ideas for use at home or in a classroom! --Incia Palmieri, MSc, elementary school teacher and founder of OnceUponaMat.ca

Author Information

LUCY SONG was a curious child, often found ""borrowing"" books and materials from an arts and crafts shop in the basement of her childhood home. She spent her time reading, making, and tinkering, unknowingly shaping her skills to become the youngest creative director for fashion retailer Le Château Inc. Lucy continues to work to empower young, curious, and creative minds as an author, as a professor of art and design at Seneca College, and by sharing her artful changemaking resources at WithWonder.co.
