Chad Slattery, one of the foremost authorities on aviation and aerospace photography, has authored a book, Inside Aviation Photography, and is sharing his expertise and stories about his work and experiences. He is based in Los Angeles, California where he grew up. Chad has always had a passion for aviation. Even as a child he was building plastic model airplane kits. Then in sixth grade when he borrowed his mother's camera and began photographing them, his career was born. Today he photographs extensively for the business aircraft community. His shooting, lighting, and post-production techniques are sophisticated, creating exquisite images for aviation and aerospace enterprises worldwide. Unmatched by any other photographer, Chad has flown in over 200 sorties in specialized photo Learjets. His corporate clients include Boeing, Dassault, Dynamic Aviation, Embraer, HondaJet, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Orbital Sciences. He also does magazine assignments and regularly publishes in Air & Space/Smithsonian, Aviation Week, AOPA Pilot, Flight Training, Business Jet Traveler, Pro Pilot, and Volare magazines.
