Ava Goes to Kindergarten is a book about a child with autism and her first year of Kindergarten. This is the fourth in a series of the Ava Goes...books tranlated into Spanish. This and all of the books to follow are from a child's point of view. Ava Goes to Kindergarten shows Ava's first year of development and socialization in a school setting. Children with autism are often presented with social stories to familarize them with new experiences. This book includes a resource page for parents to support them as they advocate for their child with special needs. A portion of the authors royalties from the original sale of this book are going to the UC Davis MIND Institute and Stanford Universities Autism and Developmental Disorder Research Program for the respective continued research in autism.
