Many types of specimen can be studied, from whole organisms to ultra-thin cryosections. Autoradiography can supply information at the macroscopic, microscopic and ultrastructural levels, and its technique is therefore of interest to biological students in a variety of research areas. This handbook provides an introduction to the theory and major techniques of autoradiography in a simplified but comprehensive manner.
