In 1990, he joined the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University and was promoted to Associate Professor, Professor in 1996, 1999, respectively. From 2006 to 2011 he worked as the Director of the Institute of Testing Technology for Circuits and Systems, Hunan University. He was a Senior Visiting Scholar with the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, U.K., in 2002. In 2011, he joined the Hefei University of Technology, China, and currently works as the Head of School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Hefei University of Technology. He has been on the Technical Program Committee of a number of international conferences. He was the recipient of a number of national and international awards, prizes, and honors. Prof. Xue Qing is at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology. Her main work covers teaching and research related to Industrial Engineering, especially in the field of Human Factors, her research interests include: Ergonomics/ Human Factors, Human Machine Interface, Computer Aided Design, Preventive Maintenance. Some projects are listed as follows: 1. Human Factors in Preventive Maintenance; 2. The Research on Adaptive Human-Computer Interface based on Context-Awareness; 3. The Study and Evaluation of Human Machine Interface; 4. The Modular Design for the Key Parts of Engine. Also some cooperation projects with enterprises related to the human, machine and environment, in order to solve real problems. In addition to research projects, she has taught several courses, such as: Computer Fundamental (Bilingual course), C programming Language (Bilingual course); Ergonomics (Bilingual course), Modern Industrial Engineering; Advanced Manufacturing System (Bilingual course); Computer Aided Design.
