Author Information

Sham Tickoo is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana. He has been teaching CAD/CAM, AutoCAD(R), AutoLISP(R), drafting, and design since 1981. In addition to his academic career, he has worked as a machinist, quality control engineer, design engineer, and software developer. Mr. Tickoo's general research interests are in the design and development of new products, such as windmill turbines. He has authored and coauthored several books on CAD/CAM software and systems, including CATIA(R), NX(R), Pro/ENGINEER(R), SolidWorks(R), Solid Edge(R), Autodesk(R) Inventor and 3ds Max(R). He received his M.S. in industrial technology from Northern Illinois University and his M.S. in industrial and management engineering from the University of Iowa.
